SERVICES
My services in trauma recovery are rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic
practice while drawing from a wide range of counseling modalities and creative
approaches.
Depending on the person and what is needed, our work may include art, music, movement, narrative, mindfulness, cognitive and grounding skills, and other
ways of exploring what has been experienced and what the body and mind have learned in response.

WHAT IS SOMATIC WORK?
Somatic work is a body-centered approach that pays attention to how our experiences affect the nervous system and how we experience emotions, stress, and safety within our bodies.
Sometimes our bodies continue responding to experiences even when we understand cognitively that something is over or that we are safe. Somatic practices help us notice those responses with curiosity and gently work with the nervous system rather than trying to force a particular response.
The work is highly individualized and always guided by what feels appropriate and manageable for you. Depending on your needs, we might incorporate breathwork, gentle movement, or stretching, grounding, body awareness, trigger point release, or other practices alongside our regular work.
There is no single “right” way to do somatic work. The goal is to increase awareness, regulation, choice, and connection between body and mind.
